The Backpack with Alarm and Flashing Alert has these essential safety and security features:
- Two 130 decibel sirens that blast in opposite directions to maximize the potential that your student's distress call will be heard. The sirens can be heard within a 100 yard radius. The sirens are located in the lower section of the backpack so the loudness will not affect the wearer but will be uncomfortably loud for the assailant!
- A high intensity strobe light which is also activated when the cord is pulled. The flashing light alert on the lower portion of the backpack with alarm can be seen up to 500 yards.
- The backpack’s powerful alarm system operates on 8 AA batteries (included with purchase) and is capable of providing up to 5 continuous hours of signaling time before new batteries are needed.
The activation switch for the Backpack with Alarm and Flashing Alert is located on the right shoulder strap. It consists of a pull cord tucked underneath a small safety flap. The pull cord can easily be pulled by your student to activate the alarm but would be difficult for an assailant to find and disable - perfect!
